Multiple Myeloma Research
Important areas of multiple myeloma research include ongoing studies to learn more about myeloma causes and prevention and clinical trials to develop more effective treatments for the disease. The goals of this research are to discover a cure for multiple myeloma and learn how to prevent the disease.
Much multiple myeloma research is focused on developing new medications and drug combinations to reduce symptoms and slow progression of the disease with fewer side effects. Additional studies are being conducted to improve stem cell transplantation in patients with multiple myeloma.
